This is an archival fine art print of my original painting of the endangered California Condor in acrylic on a map of US west coast of California and Pacific ocean where it resides. It is the second painting of a series of endangered and threatened animals painted over the map of their endemic region. By using acrylic paints and medium, I am able to create transparent and opaque effects to reveal portions of map throughout the painting. Preserving the image of the endangered animal in my artwork allows me to keep it in view for others, as the threat to their existence may one day render them unknowable.

The California Condor (Gymnogyps californianus) is the largest land bird in North America. It is listed as "critically endangered" and by 1982, only 23 condors survived world-wide. In response, a captive breeding program in was established in 1987, elevating its population to 435 by December 2015 in captivity and the wild. It remains one of the world's rarest birds/

The print is produced on 260gms Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper which is archival 100% cotton rag. The inks are Epson UltraChromeHG2 Ink archival pigment inks with 8 color printing lasting over 100 years. The print will be signed on the back and the watermark will not be present in the final product.

Framing shown is not included though the artwork will fit a standard sized frame as follows:

5" x 7" print --- 8" x 10" frame with mat opening 4.5 x 6.5
8" x 10" print --- 11 x 14" frame with mat opening 7.5 x 9.5
11" x 14" print --- 16" x 20" frame with mat opening 10.5" x 13.5"
